PROJECT BACKGROUND STORY

At Scrapbook Adhesives, we not only put our hearts into creating Scrapbook Approved™ adhesives that are Designed to Make Your
Legacy Last
, we also believe strongly in giving back to the community that supports us. The development of THE WORLD'S LARGEST SCRAPBOOK came easily to us because of how we have been supporting the mission of the Make-A-Wish Foundation® to grant wishes of children with life threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Since our Brand's inception, Scrapbook Adhesives has donated $.04 of every product sold to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and product to Make-A-Wish® chapters across the country to help wish recipients document their remarkable stories.

That is how the idea of THE WORLD’S LARGEST SCRAPBOOK started — as Make-A-Wish children preserved their wonderful memories, the pages grew into large numbers. Tom Vasko, Vice President, North American Sales for 3L Corporation, realized that Scrapbook Adhesives could help the Make-A-Wish children participate in yet another monumental experience — creating THE WORLD’S LARGEST SCRAPBOOK, honoring the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s incredible dedication to the children they serve.

We wanted to be able to share the inspirational stories of the children who are touched by the Make-A-Wish Foundation with the scrapbooking community,” said Vasko. “The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a natural fit for the scrapbooking community, and the recipient children and their families deserve to preserve those memories forever.”

Scrapbook Adhesives’ goal was to collect more than 1000 pages from the 69 Make-A-Wish chapters. The response has been overwhelming with a total of 6,338 pages collected!. A special gift of $50,000 will be donated by Scrapbook Adhesives to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and presented at the unveiling of THE WORLD’S LARGEST SCRAPBOOK on January 29, 2007, at the Craft and Hobby Association (CHA) Show in Anaheim, California. Of that donation, two Make-A-Wish chapters with the highest number of pages contributed will be awarded $10,000 (to Nebraska winning 1st place with 1,835 pages) and $5,000 (to Maine winning 2nd place with 962 pages).

Through selling and purchasing Scrapbook Adhesives’ complete line of archival safe, acid-free adhesive products, everyone is able to
help share the power of a wish
®!
